(Dallas, USA) Two small aircrafts collided on the runway at Northwest Regional Airport in Northlake. The crash happened when a pilot coming in for a landing didn’t see another plane that was on the runway waiting for takeoff. Luckily no one was hurt.

supposedly those kind of accident will be prevented if someone will radio the other pilot.. or maybe a sign that there is another aircraft..
Now here is something that could have been avoided. Obviously the Cherokee was landing and not paying any attention to the runway or the radios.
As an ATP pilot who has flown for many years it is easy to criticize other pilots for not paying attention; however, it is important to remember that the rule “see and be seen” only works if you can see the other aircraft, which is more difficult than one might imagine.
Add to that a low-wing aircraft and a high-wing aircraft and you need to be four times as careful!
