Yesterday the first Airbus A380 was handed over to Air France. The French carrier is the first European airline to fly the “whale jet” on scheduled services. The aircraft – MSN0033 / F-HPJA – is the twentieth A380 delivered by Airbus. 10 A380s are already flying with Singapore, five with Emirates and four with Qantas.

Well I guess Air France made a little mistake 🙂
Emirates were the first to use the GP 7200 engine on the a380.
Yes you’re right! Sorry I mixed something up. Air France was the first airline to select the GP7200 engines when it announced its A380 order back in 2001.
Well, it’s not exactly the most beautiful example of aircraft design, but its a significant achievement nonetheless. Hopefully ill get a shot in one soon!
