AIRBUS 350XWB EXCELLENT CHOICE !!!!!!! BOEING 787 IS FOREIGN MADE ( CHINA , JAPAN, ITALY, CHINA, ETC, CHEAP LABOR ) MOST ALL PARTS ARE MADE OUTSIDE OF THE US AND BOEING TRIES TO HIDE THAT FACT. BOEING IS GREEDY. AT LEAST AIRBUS IS A STAND UP COMPANY. NO PR TRICKERY. PLUS THEY HAVE THE VISION FOR THE FUTURE AND THE SKY IS NOT THE LIMIT ( ie 38O ) AIRBUS IS VISIONARY. THANK YOU AIRBUS, YOU INSPIRE THE NEW AND OLD GENERATIONS OF PILOTS AND AVIATION ENTHUSIAST AND THEIR MOTHERS AND FATHERS AROUND THE WORLD. THANK YOU SO MUCH. MARK CHELI

Hawaiian went with Airbus is because of delivery and availability as per a blog on Flightglobal with the CEO of Hawaiian. Airbus has few orders for those aircraft and open slots to plug in Hawaiian on both the A350 line and the A330. 767's are such a hot commodity that there aren't enough for Hawaiian, or anyone else, to lease in the future so they could get delivery slots with Boeing. Otherwise, I would bet they would still be with Boeing.
Airbus went to many of the same suppliers as Boeing is using throughout the world for the 787 to ask them to make parts for the 350. What, you think they build it all their parts themselves? Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Russia, Turkey, Morrocco, Italy, Spain, and the Czech Republic are just a small few of the countries that supply parts for the A380 alone. I'm not talking small parts either. Boeing happily announces their suppliers on their website.
Airbus a stand up company? Airbus is government subsidized and is bleeding Euros to the point that they are going to do yet another layoff. The back door deals they have to do to make buyers go with them is anything but stand up? Let's look at United's A320 purchase a number of years ago. Why did they go with Airbus and not the Boeing 737NG? The maintenance contract. United doesn't have to pay for any engine repairs or replacements on that aircraft while they fly them. That was a sweet deal for United but pretty dirty pool when you aren't a public company.
My opinion, Airbus is not a visionary, what is so special about playing catch-up? The A380 is actually a copy of Boeing's first 747 model that didn't get built because they didn't see the need for the 2 decks and it would not have been an efficient freighter. It's available to see on the Discovery Channel's 747 history show online should you choose.
